Recap Community Call #3 - Beat Battle Submissions

Yo! What’s up MPC Friends!

Shoutout to all of y’all who tuned in to our Community Call #3 on Instagram Live!

A huge thank you and big ups to our surprise guests: Tony Dofat from Bad Boy Records and Tarik Azzouz representing Run The Streets. They brought some hands-on MPC experience to the call! If you missed it, you can catch the replays on our Instagram page.

Now let’s break down what we discussed during the call:


1. Music Producer Convention IV - Premises

First things first, we gotta remind y’all that the Music Producer Convention IV is going down in the center of Paris on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2023. It’s gonna be crazy!


We wanted to show you around the premises real quick.


The legendary Studios de la Seine will host all our MPC IV workshops and masterclasses.

We’ll be taking over the Studios de La Seine on Friday and Saturday, November 3rd and 4th 2023.

Located on 10225 sq ft in the heart of Paris, Studios de la Seine is an international reference.

Since 1992, Studios de la Seine has been recording and mixing for artists such as : Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Burna Boy, Travis Scott, Migos, The Weeknd, DJ Snake, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, The Dream, Asap Rocky, Mac Miller, Shakira, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Gorillaz, Akon, Angèle, Ninho, SCH, Aya Nakamura, JUL, Naps, Kaaris, Dinos, Amel Bent, AP, Laylow, Koba la D, and many more!

Ideally located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, the premises include two 80m2 sets, and a 60m2 set, as well as 5 professional studios equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and adapted to industry standards entirely dedicated to sharing technical knowledge on modern music production during MPC. The common areas will enable you to meet and exchange ideas and contacts before and after the workshops.


And then on Sunday, November 5th, we’ll be invading La Fabrique!

This year, all our debates, conferences, networking events, and the MPC IV Beat Battle will take place at la Fabrique République in Paris. An exceptional venue for a unique event.


Music Producer Convention is taking over the 7534 sq ft building located just a stone's throw from the dynamic République district, so you can get to our Sunday event quickly and easily.


Ideally located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, the premises comprise 3 floors entirely dedicated to music production dedicated to developing your professional relationships and sharing key information on the workings of today's music industry.

2. Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th of November 2023

We have a lineup of heavy hitters once again for this new edition!

And we’re not even done announcing everybody yet! It’s a star-studded lineup!

3. Sunday, November 5th: Networking Day & MPC IV Beat Battle.

Now, in case you’re not aware, registrations are open for the Beat Battle.

From October 1st till October 15th, you can throw your hat in the ring... After that, we’ll be deliberating and selecting 16 challengers with 4 reserves holding it down. Only 15 spots are up for grabs because Luvanga, the reigning champ from Music Producer Challenge III, isn’t backing down. It’s gonna be a showdown like no other!


The battle will be judged by all our 2023 speakers and more... All challengers will receive feedback and advice concerning their productions. And 4 winners will get to stand on the podium and go home with prizes from our partners and sponsors (Eventide, UVI, Roland, Lewitt,...).

Sunday is gonna be off the hook at La Fabrique. We’re talking all-day networking with conferences, debates, and our beat battle the “Music Producer Challenge.” You’ll be able to hang out in our networking lounge and attend conferences, debates, and the beat battle on the first floor! Here’s an idea of what we have in store for you:

  • Celebrating 50 years of hip-hop: Exploring how producers/beatmakers have been the driving force behind its evolution from analog to digital with new sounds pushing boundaries.

  • Let’s get down to business with new economic models for music creators. We’ll be dropping gems on how to stack that paper as a producer in 2023!
